Barry is an internationally recognised Singing Teacher and West End Vocal Coach with over 20 years experience. He is also a Professional Singer and Theatre Producer working extensively in the UK, USA, Russia, New Zealand, South Africa, The Netherlands & Scandanavia. Having auditioned and worked with thousands of singers he is able to identify and correct mistakes instantly. Confidence and performance is the key to Barry’s high success rate and demand amongst his clients.
Having taught at ArtsEd, Laine Theatre Arts, GSA and Ripley-Grier Studios NYC he is extremely experienced with a very diverse client base. Internationally he is also involved in Workshops in Germany Russia and South Africa.
Barry studied with Scholarships at Trinity College of Music and Musical Theatre at The Royal Academy of Music at Post graduate Level.
A member of the British Voice Association (BVA) and Association of Teachers of Singing (AOTOS) together with a full enhanced DBS check.

Production
As Executive Producer of ICON Theatrical, in these ever changing times of light entertainment, Barry strives and aspires to bring high quality live music to international audiences of all ages.
Barry has gained an international reputation as a Musical Supervisor and Vocal Consultant and to date is the youngest person to conduct the Honolulu Symphony Orchestra in Hawaii. He has also worked extensively with the Wellington Sinfonia New Zealand, The Johannesburg Festival Orchestra, The Cape Philharmonic and The KwaZulu Natal Orchestra South Africa. Following an international tour of ‘Rock Legends’ Barry returned to New Zealand to arrange and record the music for the acclaimed ‘Spirit of Christmas’ for U.S.A. starring Neil Sedaka, Debbie Reynolds, The Osmonds and many other stars.
In 2006 Barry conducted ‘Frank, Dean & Sammy Live in Concert’ on Broadway, New York after being Musical Director for the original production in South Africa, India and U.K. He has also been Musical Director for ‘Dancing Queen’ working closely with the music of ABBA being presented in a new and exciting style. Barry was heavily involved with the arranging and musical production of ‘The Twelve Irish Tenors’ that has toured extensively worldwide making guest appearances on The Max Proms Christmas television spectacular in The Netherlands. In 2011 Barry was the Musical Associate for the arena production of ‘HAIR live at AHOY’ Rotterdam.
More recently, Barry has arranged and Produced many shows including ‘The Sopranos Live’ an evening of sensational music in one breath-taking concert. This production is touring extensively most recently in South Africa with future plans to visit the Far East and New Zealand. ‘The Tenors’ a cross-over extravaganza of musical classics from Opera to Pop – Swing to Broadway is presently touring Europe.
Other Productions include ‘The Blues and Soul Show’ an amazing musical tribute to the phenomenon that is The Blues Brothers. ‘HisStory’ a high-octane musical salute to the ultimate ‘King of Pop’ Michael Jackson, ‘The Piano Men’ celebrating the amazing music of Sir Elton John and Billy Joel. ‘An Evening with The Good Vibrations’ a fun filled spectacle featuring music from The Beach Boys to Take That. ‘Feeling Good’ a modern day take on The Rat Pack with music from Michael Buble to Norah Jones and many more chart topping greats of 21st century. Barry’s most recent production ‘The Sopranos versus The Tenors – The Battle of the Voices’ is the show we have all been waiting for. Two international super-groups perform together at last in the ultimate amazing head to head. A live concert not to be missed!
Recently 2016/17 Barry has produced more shows in The Netherlands and Norway ‘Somebody to Love’ the ultimate Queen spectacular before travelling to back to South Africa to produce & perform at the Joburg Theatre the Ultimate Tenors Show ‘The Tenors – Live in Concert’ also featured on SABC and national radio.
